Back Care
Here are some tips on long term measures that can help you take care of your back.
If you suffer from chronic back pain, it may be worth to take not of the following tips:
Invest in a good mattress:
I’ve suffered from chronic neck and shoulder pain and lower back pain for decades. Five years ago, I decided to take the advice from my chiropractor and invest in a good mattress. Imagine that you spend 6-8 hours a day sleeping, so if you sleep well without waking up all sore and stiff, then having a good mattress and pillow could be the ultimate solution for you.
I’ve tried numerous brands of mattresses throughout the years, and have finally found one that suits me. It’s the Tempur-Pedic and I’ve had it for 5 years now and it’s as good as the day bought it!
Just as important as a good mattress is a good pillow. You will need to find one that provides adequate neck support and is neither too soft nor too hard. Tempur has some good pillows worth investing in for a good night’s sleep.
2) I travel quite a bit and sometimes, the hotel beds are not suitable. So to relieve pain when I’m travelling, I use the following device, called Real-Ease Neck and Shoulder Relaxer
3) When you’re sitting on a chair, make sure you have adequate lumbar support…….here are some useful back supports for chairs and sofas:
4) Instead of having the hassle ot booking appointments for a massage therapist, I often resort to using my favourite massage chair at home. This is especially useful when I get home late at night and just need 15-30 minutes of chair massage before having a hot shower and to a relaxing good night’s sleep.
Indulge a little and invest in a good massage chair which the whole family can use, anytime!

If you have spacce constraints, here’s the latest and cutest petite massage chair!
5) In order for me to diagnose my problem, I do quite a lot of reading as well…here are my favourite books on Back Care:
